More than HK$90 million was invested in our five storey, 93,000 sq.ft. Fanling plant. Arguably the biggest, and absolutely the most comprehensive, linen laundry and dry-cleaning centre in the Region, combing services and logistics under one roof.

From the moment they are unloaded and weighed
and sorted on the ground floor, to coming out crisp and clean
on the floor
above, thirty minutes later, every step is computer programmed.
Soiled linen is sorted and loaded into 60kg laundry bags running
on a ceiling-mounted monorail system, then dropped in the two
wash tunnels. At the end of the tunnel / washing process,
water is extracted by the single station membrane press, and
compressed into a compact cake. The linen cake then is transported
to the first floor by vertical conveyor where the bed sheets
are processed by sophisticated feed-iron-fold system.
Clean towels, after leaving the tumbler dryer,
are sent through a fully automatic vacuum transfer system,
to be collected on the first floor, ready for dispatch. On the
second floor, sophisticated
washers dryers, and ironing systems take care of tablecloths and
napkins for the F&B
industry.
The
third floor is primarily dedicated to the needs of hotel uniform,
valet services and discerning individuals. In addition to advanced,
fabric-safe and environmentally friendly dry-cleaning and finishing
machines, there are handwash basins, spotting boards and other
facilities
to assist thoroughly trained staff to remove tough stains with
minimal damage to fabric.
A
temperature-controlled storeroom for off-season clothes is also
on this floor. Special ironing and seamstress stations have been
installed to give that final, personal touch to each garment. The
third floor also houses up the nerve centre of the Fanling plant
– a sophisticated, computerized surveillance system that would not
look out of place on the set of a James Bond movie.
On
the fourth floor, next to our headquarter office, our showroom exhibits
products in mock hotel rooms and table settings.
